Hockey, Giggy Still "with Him" In Anaheim
Anaheim still had a few successful season in 2007-2008, winning 47 games, but lost in the first round to the Dallas Stars to disappoint them. They have not been affected by a "hangover of the Stanley Cup," which was good, but they do not get the result they sought. Brain Burke has something he can relax this offseason, and it is his position as goalkeeper. JS Giguere had a great year to put a 2.12 goals against average and a .922 save percentage. It is his best stats in the post-lockout. Giguere is right in his first 31 years of age, and still have some good seasons ahead of him. Some guards were at their first skaters later, and when it took years Giguere works its way through the minors, it may be better still to come. Giguere Anaheim confidence is stable until expiry of his contract in 2011. He is a goalkeeper from the foreground, and will probably continue its success next season.
Ilya Bryzgalov will be sent through an exemption to make way for Jonas Hiller, who is the backup function very well. The fact that Bryzgalov was too good to be used as a backup to Giguere, and were able to back up Hiller waiting in the wings led to the disappearance Bryzgalov in Anaheim. Hiller is a good starting point once or twice a month. You know what you get with it and hope that every time out. It is a difficult skill to find, but Anaheim has found a young goalkeeper from the Swiss.

He has not seen much action probably would have liked, mostly because it was time to break with JP Levasseur, but impressed his call. Goepfert played a totally out of goaltending style, and has great reflexes and reactions. Should be given the reins in Augusta, and hopes of a call to Iowa if he plays well enough.
The European side of things, Anaheim has two goalkeepers worthy of note. Mattias Modig and Sebastian Stefaniszin. Mattias Modig, prepared by 4 Round in 2007 was a year that is sluggish in 47 games for Lulea HF Sweden Elite League. It certainly hurt Posted 3.53 GAA, and hopes to recover next year, or you can see his shot come to North America to fade. Sebastian Stefaniszin was just a terrible season, playing only 19 games all year and 9 games for Iserlohn of Deutsche Eishockey Liga in Germany, 4.50 GAA Posted a 0.881 save percentage. He is truly recover, so that its position within the organization up.
Overall, Anaheim is set for the network. They have nothing to worry about if Giguere is a kind of catastrophic injury (knock on wood) that hit him out of the equation. Keep up the good work, Giggy!
