The Dream Ends, The Colorado Rockies Made
The reality is, the Colorado Rockies made long ago. But a 7-2 home stand, combined with the collapse of Arizona and San Francisco had some arguing that the team was not quite finished.
The fact is, this thing was done long ago. The Rockies are simply not a team in the playoffs. It is easy to forget what a playoff team actually looks like. Maybe the lenses of his purple for most fans, but this team is not the same as in 2007 or 2009 team in the playoffs the Rockies.
In both seasons, the Rockies started slowly but came together as a team. They had a great game of baseball for a long time. Even in 2007, making the playoffs was a victory of 14 to 15, as the game play, the Rockies were playing better baseball than any other team in the National League on May 22.
In 2009, when Clint Hurdle was dismissed by the Rockies, 15 games under .500, the Rockies went 11-game winning streak since the first week of June. Since then, continued to play baseball great. All five starting pitchers went 10-game winners.
Both seasons, the offense gelled. They were hitting two-out, are not intimidated by pitching great, and seemed to get big hits when it counts. Bullpen nails were, and in 2009 by Jim Tracy to gather configuration and day-out days, which was a sort of consistency.
This Rockies team is simply not had the opportunity for the entire season. They are under performing players in each division. Jason Hammel and Aaron Cook is a disaster, almost every hitter in addition to Todd Helton, Seth Smith, and managed expectations, Bullpen has given up runs more than their talent would suggest it to be.
In addition, the team seems to have some problems club. When he was transferred Ubaldo Jimenez, Troy Tulowitzki said after the game is not what I expected. Instead of a dark feeling of the loss of a friend, spoke with disappointment small Tulo. He talked more about Jimenez had started the expectations and the cost of team games. It makes no sense for the amount of benefits that Jimenez had led the team since being recalled in 2007.
The conclusion is simply that the team is good enough to be in the playoffs. They may have talent, suggesting that they are the best team in the NHL, but the intangibles are there.
Colorado Rockies are not playoff teams in 2011. Late-season run would be nice to create a dynamic online 2012, but the reality is, this franchise has to learn to play baseball for six months instead of three or four months.
There are 29 games left this season and instead of the Rockies to the playoffs, they will wait to see what can be for the 2012 season.
